We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join our team at TU Delft. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and executing experiments to measure and characterize the vibrations experienced by babies in baby seats in cargo bikes and strollers.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and execute experiments to measure vibrations in baby seats
- Acquire and setup measurement equipment, including bikes, sensors, and dummy babies
- Analyze vibration data to characterize experienced vibration magnitudes and frequencies
- Lead the collaborative writing of a paper/report on the practical findings
- Supervise assistant researcher(s)
- Proficient in academic technical writing with evidence of published or submitted journal papers
- Expertise in executing all aspects of mechanical engineering experimental work
- Expertise with dynamics measurements, vehicle measurements, and time series and frequency domain data analyses
- Academic level communication skills in English
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities
