**Overview**
The Centre for Safe Medication Practice and Research at the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy invites applications for a Research Assistant I/II position.
Salary
We offer a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, ranging from HKD 48,390 to HKD 58,375 per month, depending on the candidate's background and qualifications.
Job Description
As a Research Assistant I/II, you will be part of a team working on projects related to big data, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacoeconomics of medication safety, effectiveness, cost, and preferences in areas including cardiology, mental health, oncology, and infectious diseases. Your responsibilities will include:
- Working with a team of researchers on various research projects.
- Conducting standard statistical analysis of economic and/or epidemiological data and interpreting results.
- Managing and analyzing large quantitative data sets.
- Assisting with qualitative research, preparing and managing submissions to IRBs.
- Supporting the implementation of research projects in Hong Kong SAR and mainland China.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Biostatistics, Health Economics, Pharmacy, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related healthcare discipline, along with at least one year of relevant experience. A strong background in analysis of large and complex datasets using R, SAS, STATA, NVivo, or other tools, and mixed methods research is also desirable. Additionally, you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.
