Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ship Propulsion Technician to join our team at our Propulsion Workshop. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the overhaul, repair, assembly, and upgrade of various marine propulsion systems, including Controllable Pitch Propellers, Tunnel Thrusters, and Oil Supply Units.

Main Responsibilities

• You will work on disassembling, inspecting, assembling, and testing complete propulsion installations and components.
• Upon identifying discrepancies or non-conformities, you will discuss and resolve them with the workshop foreman.
• You will adhere to order/project records and checklists, ensuring that your work meets Wärtsilä's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental guidelines.
• You will contribute to maintaining a clean and tidy workshop, focusing on your designated working area.

Requirements

• You have technical knowledge and experience in mechanical assembly procedures.
• You can read and understand technical assembly drawings and instructions.
• Prior experience with industry safety standards and practices is preferred.
• You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
• You are able to work under pressure and adapt to overtime and weekend shifts when necessary.
