Role Overview


As a key member of our Eastern Europe team, you will be responsible for driving the operational and strategic growth of our groupage and freight forwarding department. We are looking for an experienced leader who can leverage their expertise to enhance our processes and team performance.


Key Responsibilities



  • Coordinate planning processes to ensure efficient work and optimal staffing, focusing on trucking and rail transportation to Eastern Europe.
  • Manage financial flows within the department, based on the allocated budget, and proactively identify and resolve occasional or structural disruptions.
  • BUILD AND MAINTAIN LONG-TERM CUSTOMER AND PARTNER RELATIONSHIPS, actively engaging with existing and potential relationships to strengthen our position in the market.
  • Demonstrate leadership by jumping in operationally when necessary, pitching ideas to senior management, and managing stakeholder interests in Eastern Europe.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the road transport sector, preferably with experience in groupage, freight forwarding, and rail transportation.
  • Experience in managing a fleet and multimodal operations, with experience to or from Eastern Europe being a significant advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work with numbers and calculations.
  • Experience in working with a transport management system, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems.
  • Proven leadership skills and strong communication in both Dutch and English.
