About the Position

We are seeking a Full Professor in Sustainable Ruminant Health to lead research and teaching in the field of animal health and welfare in evolving production systems.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of research and teaching in sustainable livestock farming, with a focus on ruminant health and welfare. They will be expected to develop and lead research projects, supervise students, and contribute to the development of the faculty's research strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead research projects in sustainable livestock farming, with a focus on ruminant health and welfare;
  • Supervise students and postdoctoral researchers in the field of sustainable livestock farming;
  • Contribute to the development of the faculty's research strategy and participate in faculty meetings and committees;
  • Teach and develop courses in sustainable livestock farming and ruminant health and welfare;
  • Collaborate with industry partners and other stakeholders to develop and implement sustainable livestock farming practices.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field, such as veterinary medicine, animal science, or a related field;
  • Experience in research and teaching in sustainable livestock farming, with a focus on ruminant health and welfare;
  • Strong track record of research and teaching, with a focus on sustainable livestock farming;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and industry partners;
  • Ability to develop and lead research projects, supervise students, and contribute to the development of the faculty's research strategy.
