Director of Globalization - EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa)

At Netflix, our mission is to provide exceptional entertainment experiences to our global audience. As a key member of our Product Discovery & Promotion (PDP) organization, the Globalization team plays a crucial role in translating and culturally adapting our content for diverse markets.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Globalization to lead our growing localization efforts in the EMEA region. As a senior leader, you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy and execution of localization launch strategy for the region, ensuring a great member experience through excellent content, marketing, and product localization.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship for the Language Manager teams and Program and Project Managers across different countries in EMEA.
  • Identify opportunities to increase an international mindset across the company and work with cross-functional teams to advocate for our EMEA members.
  • Develop operational and creative strategy for Globalization, representing the needs of the EMEA region and adapting the global localization strategy to the region.
  • Provide thought leadership by identifying areas for growth and improvement to quality and scale the business.
  • Advocate on behalf of the PDP and Localization team, building partnerships with key regional organizations.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 15+ years of people and organizational management in a global enterprise environment.
  • 10+ years of scaled operations, localization, internationalization, international product development, or international business management experience.
  • Ability to work effectively cross-functionally and demonstrated leadership, influencing, and execution skills at the executive level.
  • Superior scaled operational management and organizational skills with an ability to translate complex ideas into simple and intuitive communications.
  • Demonstrated success in business analysis and strategic planning, with the ability to make data and insights accessible to a non-expert audience.
