Job Title: Zero Emission Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Zero Emission Controls Engineer to join our team at Yacht. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing control functions for our electrified powertrain systems.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in control systems engineering and experience in developing control functions for automotive systems. You will be working closely with our multidisciplinary team to design and realize control functions for a wide range of powertrain components, including e-Drive control functions, hybrid powertrain control functions, energy management, and plug-in charging algorithms.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop state-of-art control concepts in Matlab/Simulink
  • Verify algorithms and models using SIL and HIL verification, as well as Rapid Control Prototyping in a real vehicle
  • Collaborate with PACCAR global teams to collect function requirements and translate these requirements into control concepts
  • Establish smooth interaction with PACCAR global stakeholders
  • Maintain relationships with external partners to leverage knowledge and keep control skills up-to-date
Requirements:
  • MSc or PhD Degree in Control Systems Engineering
  • Extensive knowledge of Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, and related control toolboxes
  • Proven track-record in control function development for automotive (electrified powertrain) systems
  • Educated in writing functional requirements in a clear, simple, and unambiguous way
  • Testing and validating functional requirements and control design in MiL, SiL, and HiL at component and/or system level
  • Expertise in Functional Safety and Cyber Security is preferred
  • English language is a must
