The role of an Operational Risk Manager at our bank requires you to report directly to the Manager Risk Management. With the rapid development of digitalization within our institution, we need Risk managers with IT affinity and knowledge in data governance, processes, and controls, as well as an interest in new technologies such as social media, mobile, data analytics, blockchain, and regulatory compliance.
Your Responsibilities:
- Facilitate risk assessments across the organization and enhance risk control measures.
- Provide clear expert opinions and recommendations to management on non-financial risk management issues.
- Prepare and present detailed risk reports, including trend analyses and aligned risk opinions on key risk and key performance indicators.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders like IT, legal, compliance, and senior management to drive a culture of security awareness and compliance.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and trends in Non-financial Risk types to proactively advise our security posture.
Requirements:
- A Post-HBO/Post-Master's degree in risk management or a related field, or currently studying for one.
- A professional risk management-related certification, such as PRM, CRMP, CRISC, CIA, or CRMA.
- Knowledge of (Enterprise) risk management frameworks and relevant regulations.
- Prior experience in non-financial risk management, preferably in the banking or financial services industry, ideally around 5 years.
- A proven ability to assess control effectiveness, analyze complex issues, develop actionable plans, and drive results.
- Experience in enhancing risk awareness and providing training in the risk management domain.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams and departments.
- Strong understanding of both English and Dutch, spoken and written.
We Offer:
- A competitive gross monthly salary, estimated to be around €70,000-€90,000 based on a 36-hour work week, including vacation pay and benefit budget.
- A Benefit Budget of 11% of your salary, which allows you to acquire additional employment benefits.
- Five weeks of vacation per year, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks per year.
- A personal development budget of €1,000 per year, accumulable up to €3,000.
- The possibility to work from home, depending on your position and team.
- An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands.
