  • Calculating the Safety Integrity Level (SIL) and Performance Level (PL) of our wind turbines.
  • Collaborating with specialist departments to develop technical solutions.
  • Preparing documentation for functional safety.
  • Examining the implementation of security functions in hardware and software.
  • Evaluating hardware and software solutions according to functional safety specifications.

Requirements

To be successful as a Functional Safety Engineer at ENERCON, you should have:

  • A Master's or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or computer science, or a comparable degree with relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 13849, IEC 61508, and ISO 12100 (risk assessment).
  • Knowledge of industrial control systems and general engineering concepts.
  • Strong assertiveness and goal-oriented action.
  • Good presentation and communication skills.
  • Technical and business-fluent English.
