The Role

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Financial Director to join our management team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of the organisation while actively contributing to both strategic and operational objectives.

As a proactive business manager, you will be the key partner to the CEO and a vital member of the management team. With your financial expertise, leadership, and senior experience, you will drive growth and operational optimisation, while also playing a crucial role in negotiations with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the Finance, Purchasing, Production, Customer Support, Logistics, and Administration teams, ensuring their effective functioning.
  • Maintenance of continuous oversight of financial figures and processes, enabling informed decision-making.
  • Providing clear, insightful reports, budgets, and forecasts, ensuring alignment between financial and sales goals to support the organisation's decision-making.
  • Negotiating with Stakeholders: Using your financial expertise to offer a counterbalance to shareholder interests. Lead strategic negotiations to ensure alignment between financial goals and shareholder expectations while promoting long-term business growth.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Working closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, Sustainability, Quality, and HR to ensure alignment on financial forecasts and support a unified organisational plan.
  • Cash Flow and P&L Management: Preparing weekly cash flow reports and monthly P&Ls, analysing budget deviations, and engaging with the management team to address necessary adjustments.
  • Business Case Development and Advisory: Collaborating with the R&D team on the development of new business cases and offering advisory to the management team on emerging opportunities and strategic decisions.
