The Role

We are seeking a Technical Specialist Vulnerability to join our team. As a key member of our research and development department, you will play a crucial role in reducing the vulnerability of our naval vessels through intelligent system design and the application of advanced technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and review technical specifications, aspect management plans, and aspect analysis reports for complex projects.
  • Support verification and validation tests and trials during the production support phase or as part of a research project.
  • Participate in the development of your field of expertise and promote findings within potential projects.
  • Deliver high-quality engineering work within agreed timelines, quality standards, and budget constraints.
  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable requirements and specifications.
  • Contribute to the continuous evaluation and improvement of processes, tools, and the development, transfer, and retention of knowledge within the department.
Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field, coupled with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in one or more specialized technical subjects such as system design, vulnerability reduction concepts, or signature reduction concepts for naval vessels and/or offshore installations.
  • Experience in vulnerability reduction and system design and in complex project environments is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience collaborating with research institutes, universities, engineers, and project and tender managers in naval shipbuilding or a related industry.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language both written and verbal.
  • Excellent references and antecedents, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
