Position: Community Health Research Nurse

The University is seeking a dedicated Community Health Research Nurse to join the Department of Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. This role is available on a temporary or fixed-term basis, with potential for extension.

Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in nursing and be registered with the Nursing Council of Hong Kong. Ideal candidates will have both clinical and research experience, particularly in working with young children and their families. Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese, along with fluency in Cantonese, is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment are required.

The appointee will engage with interdisciplinary teams across various universities and NGOs to implement a comprehensive early childhood intervention project targeting disadvantaged communities. Responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting health assessments and educational outreach
  • Managing data and performing administrative duties
  • Participating in community-based initiatives

Flexibility in working hours is necessary, including the possibility of weekend and holiday shifts.

A competitive salary will be offered, aligned with qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. Fixed-term appointments will include a contract-end gratuity and contributions to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10% of the basic salary.
