This project aims to improve the Quality of Life of elderly individuals with neurodegenerative diseases by providing personalized, enduring, and adaptive support.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop dialogues for conversational agents that adapt to the level of speech comprehension of users with dementia
- Study how conversational agents can fix a dialogue that went wrong and develop tools for diagnosing the stage of dementia based on user speech
- Collaborate with stakeholders from the medical domain to create data collection specifications and risk assessments
- Develop and test algorithms for virtual human behavior and animations
- Design and evaluate voicebot dialogues with caregivers and users with dementia
You will work in a multidisciplinary group consisting of PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, and professors in human-computer interaction, virtual humans, linguistics, language and speech technology, speech recognition, NLP, and game design.
RequirementsWe are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in human-computer interaction, AI, or a related field. You should have excellent communication and collaboration skills and be able to work independently.
