EU Taxonomy Expert Opportunity at KPMG Netherlands

In today's environment, companies are under increasing pressure to provide reliable and credible sustainability information within their annual reports. The upcoming Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), and EU Taxonomy are driving this need. As a leading advisory firm, KPMG-Netherlands is at the forefront of this change. We are seeking an EU Taxonomy Expert to join our Capital Markets & Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) department, specifically in our Competence Center EU Taxonomy (EUTCC).

Your Responsibilities:
• Develop expertise in the EU Taxonomy and support clients in interpreting the requirements.
• Collaborate with audit teams as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and assurance on EU Taxonomy compliance.
• Establish connections between different KPMG departments, promoting a unified approach to EU Taxonomy implementation.
• Foster a culture of critical thinking and collaborative work.
• Deliver training on non-financial reporting, ensuring stakeholders are equipped to navigate the EU Taxonomy landscape.
• Adapt to diverse team environments and contribute to the growth of the Competence Center.

Your Profile:
• Master's degree in Accounting, Control, or related fields.
• Certified accountant (RA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• 5-8 years of relevant experience, with a significant portion in external audit.
• Strong interest in sustainability and preferably experience with non-financial reporting.
• Excellent conceptual and analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English for international clients.
