Job Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will be responsible for guiding contractors in the plant during maintenance activities. You will ensure that maintenance tasks are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively, in accordance with the job package. You will apply your technical knowledge and expertise to maintain and repair the facilities. Working closely with the Maintenance Team, you will contribute to improving the reliability of production facilities. Through training and experience, you will develop the knowledge and skills to perform a variety of work assignments.


During your work, it is essential to collaborate closely with colleagues from Operations and the Engineering department to identify and resolve the right problems.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Check if all necessary information is available in the work package and provide feedback to the planner in case of deviations.
  • Identify potential problems with the execution on a technical, safety, or other level in the plant.
  • Evaluate whether the contractor performing the work has the necessary knowledge and experience to perform the work.
  • Ensure that the contractor has the necessary (critical) procedures and protocols and reviews them.
  • Discuss with the external company's work coordinator when the work can be performed.
  • Ensure that the necessary permit is requested.
  • Check if all machines and equipment are available and safe for use.
  • Perform all work according to the applicable procedure using the checklist if applicable.
  • Discuss with the supervisor/ coordinator if additional actions are necessary.
  • In case of additional problems that require a new work order, conduct thorough research into the cause of the problem.
  • Perform quality control and assist in determining if the problem has been resolved.
  • Complete the necessary information for documentation and history updates in SAP.

Requirements


• You have a technical MBO 4 diploma, preferably in the field of mechanical engineering, or an MBO 3 diploma with at least 3 years of relevant work experience.



• If you have experience in maintenance, that's a plus, but it's not necessary.



• You speak fluent Dutch, knowledge of the English language is a plus.
