We are seeking a talented Design System Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping Nulab's design language by building and evolving our design system.
The Design System Designer will work closely with the Design System team to design scalable UI components and frameworks that enhance usability, efficiency, and brand cohesion. You will take ownership of the design system for our mobile applications while contributing to the design system for our web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define, design, and maintain Nulab's design system including UI components, guidelines, and documentation
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, front-end developers, and product managers to ensure design consistency across all platforms
- Continuously improve and evolve the design system based on user feedback, industry trends, and company growth
- Work with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of design system components into product development workflows
- Advocate for best practices in design systems, accessibility, and front-end development to improve overall product quality
- Develop reusable, accessible, and scalable design components that align with our brand identity and user needs
- Create and maintain a robust documentation process for the design system, ensuring easy adoption by designers and developers
- Ensure the design system aligns with accessibility standards (WCAG) and promotes inclusive design principles
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Design System Designer or similar role
- Strong portfolio demonstrating your design system work and proven experience in designing and maintaining a design system for digital products
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
- Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and accessibility guidelines
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A passion for creating user-centered design solutions and continuous improvement in design processes
Bonus Points:
- Experience working with design tokens and component libraries
- Experience designing mobile applications (iOS and android)
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks
- Experience working in an agile product development environment
- Ability to conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
- Experience working with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
