Job Responsibilities

The Plant Operations team is responsible for ensuring safe and reliable production within defined targets in the areas of safety, health, and environment / License to Operate. The Maintenance team is responsible for specifying, planning, and executing activities in the factory. The technical department is responsible for designing assets, creating asset life plans, operational windows, and continuous performance evaluation of assets, including asset integrity, process safety, and legislation.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Specifying and scoping statutory 'static' inspections.
  • Ensuring the quality and timely delivery of these specifications to maintenance managers/senior planners in the factory, including notifications in SAP.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable technical requirements and practices.
  • Controlling executed preventive work and documentation in accordance with legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory (codal) requirements and legislation in the areas of safety, environment, and hygiene.
  • Delivering maintenance repair plans related to first-line troubleshooting of findings from statutory inspections, including multidisciplinary problems, and timely and adequate involvement of other specialists.
  • Delivering minor modifications, acting as project leader in the Management of Change process.
  • Ensuring adequate information exchange and analysis of statutory 'static' inspection work with other static ME engineers assigned to the factory to optimize preventive maintenance plans and make costs possible.
  • Member of the scoping team meetings and responsible for correct and timely Turn Around 'preventive statutory static' scope of specific plant.
  • Member of the mechanical team during the turnaround.
  • Active member of various meetings, e.g., static technical meeting of the installation.
  • Discuss/define necessary replacement and improvement projects with technical colleagues.
  • Making effective maintenance possible at minimum costs by possible technical solutions and the costs involved in preparing and executing those solutions to be optimized.
  • Responsible for an adequate level of expertise regarding discipline-specific (failure mechanisms, WBDA, PED, etc.) and plant-specific knowledge (PGS, EEMUA, etc.).
  • Leading evaluations of executed maintenance work to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of maintenance.
  • Participating in hazard assessments (SA, PHR, JSA, TRA) and analysis of the root cause.
  • Material owner of 'static' materials within a defined area.
Requirements


The ideal candidate should have:

  • Mechanical MBO+/HBO or equivalent.
  • Several years of relevant static (inspection & repair) experience in the chemical industry, preferably in a BRZO environment.
  • Technical and vocational knowledge and (analytical) skills.
