As a skilled professional, you will play a crucial role in the success of Damen Shipyards' combat systems projects. As the Technical Contract Lead Combat, your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers for large design and build projects.
About the Job
Damen Shipyards is a leading shipbuilder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality naval vessels. We are seeking an experienced technical contract lead to join our team and contribute to the success of our combat systems projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical subcontract management, preferably in the naval or shipbuilding sector.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring full compliance of combat systems products and services with all applicable requirements and specifications. This includes managing multiple subcontractors and suppliers, coordinating project activities, and participating in contractual milestones, tests, and trials. Additionally, the technical contract lead will assist the warranty authority on warranty issues and support proposal evaluations, technical evaluations, and cost/price analyses.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need to possess a bachelor's or master's degree in a technical direction and have relevant experience in technical subcontract management. You should also have excellent communication skills, solid contract management skills, and affinity with legal language and technical terminology. Proficiency in English, Dutch, and/or German languages is essential, as well as excellent command of Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
What We Offer
Damen Shipyards offers a competitive salary, ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we provide a range of benefits, including 27 holidays, 13 ADV days, travel allowance, PME-pension arrangement, profit sharing, working from home policy, bicycle plan, and company fitness facilities.
