About the Role

The Technical Consultant will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of the proprietary Temenos Data Suite of products. This role requires advanced analysis skills and technical experience in implementing containerized applications on client sites or in the cloud.

The ideal candidate will have current experience with the implementation of Banking Analytics solutions and be willing to travel in Europe, Monday through Friday, when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide detailed technical work on Data Lake projects being implemented.
  • Work either remotely or on customer sites as part of the Data Lake implementation process.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Temenos data products across a variety of technology stacks.
  • Provide expertise to clients in the definition of additional standard enhancements and advice on best practices.
  • Advise the client on the setting up of a production environment and on the running of the TEMENOS products, including database administration.
  • Provide assistance to the Project Manager for planning.
  • Conduct all aspects of the implementation of TEMENOS products, driving business streams.
  • Coordinate with the TEMENOS maintenance groups to ensure that product problems encountered by the client are understood and resolved.
  • Lead the identification, definition, and coordination of any implementation activities, such as additional requirements, issues with the functionality under testing, training needs, and liaise with the Project Manager.
  • Perform other duties, functions, and services, consistent with status or vocational ability, as may from time to time be required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with a version control repository like GIT, TFS, or BitBucket.
  • Experience working with container engines such as Docker or Podman, including working with images, building, tagging, committing to registries such as Maven or ACR.
  • Experience working with Kubernetes on-prem or in the cloud, including working with HELM, YAML configuration of Namespaces, Services, Ingress, Volumes, Config maps.
  • Knowledge of streaming services like Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs.
  • Comfortable with Linux CLI, SSH, user and permission management, networking, and security concepts, including configuration of SSL certificates.
  • Exposure to relational databases like Oracle, MSSQL Server, Postgresql on-prem or in the cloud.
  • Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, database migrations, and technology management.
  • Technical aptitude and experience to learn new technologies and understand relevant cloud/on-prem trends.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Independent problem solver.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing to travel within Europe as required.
  • Prior experience with Temenos Transact or data products.
  • Automation and CI/CD experience with tools such as Jenkins or Maven.
  • Monitoring with tools like Prometheus.
  • Configuring a service mesh with tools like Istio.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of configuring Web Apps on JBoss, IIS, or Apache Tomcat.
