At Abacus Medicine, our Compensation and Benefit Partner plays a crucial role within our People and Cultural Department, supporting our global growth.

About the Role

In reflection of the company's growth, our Benefit and Compensation team needs more muscle to embark on the exciting future of Abacus Medicine. Our Head of Group Compensation, Benefits, and Mobility, Maja Dinsen, is building up the team and is looking for a Partner to support her with operations across the organization. While she is based at the HQ in Copenhagen, we are looking for a colleague to support her and our brilliant People and Culture team at our office in Budapest.

Main Responsibilities
  • Structuring and supporting compensation and benefits strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry standards.
  • Performing benchmarking, navigating local regulations, and driving initiatives that enhance our competitive edge.
  • Working independently with job evaluation and mapping, pay ranges, gap analysis, data collecting and reporting, interpreting data, and annual development of pay regressions.
  • Keeping up with existing and new markets, their practices, and legislative regulations.
  • Providing assistance with Compensation and Benefit data when opening offices in new markets.
  • Facilitating collaboration with external vendors and internal stakeholders regarding compensation data and packages.
  • Analyzing internal pay equity and providing recommendations and improvements to ensure consistency and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Supporting the mobility process from start to finish, including drafting cost estimates, coordinating with external vendors, guiding the manager through the process, and guiding and supporting the employee.

You have around 5 years of previous experience working in a Compensation and Benefit role. As we will be a small team, you will get lots of responsibilities as well as the opportunity to further develop your skills, such as:

  • In-depth knowledge of regulations, trends, and gross functions globally.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a super user level in Excel.
  • Excellent collaboration skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Hungarian.
  • This role is located at our Budapest office, with approximately 5 to 10 travel days per year.
