Senior Legal Counsel, Lending

As a Senior Legal Counsel for Leverage Finance, you will provide legal advice and support to the Lending Services activities of ING's Wholesale Banking business. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, advising on, drafting, and negotiating general Leverage Finance documentation. You will also participate in negotiations, conference calls, and meetings in connection with potential and live transactions.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need a university degree, qualified common law solicitor or barrister, and minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience working for a magic circle or equivalent law firm or in-house for a leading international wholesale bank. You will also need experience with leveraged finance transactions documentation, including term sheets, mandate letters, inter-creditor agreements, guarantees, and security documents. Familiarity with Loan Market Association, loan documentation, and terms is also required. Additionally, you will need to be a confident, articulate personality, good at building client relationships, and able to take responsibility for and prioritize your workload without extensive supervision.
