Job Description:

As a Functional Application Manager at NIBC, you will be responsible for ensuring the adequate, functional, and stable application landscape for Retail Banking customers and employees. This includes managing and coordinating IT service management processes, such as incident, problem, and change management, for your applications. You will work closely with vendors, IT colleagues, and business stakeholders to create support and improve processes.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee the quality and continuity of business services by preventing incidents and resolving them quickly and effectively.
  • Manage and coordinate IT service management processes for your applications.
  • Work with vendors, IT colleagues, and business stakeholders to create support and improve processes.
  • Participate in relevant IT changes and projects, and be responsible for the final acceptance of these changes and projects on your applications.

Your Team:

You will be part of the Retail Banking IT team, working in a multidisciplinary Agile product team. The team consists of Application Managers, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and other functions. What do you bring?

You are the linking pin between Business, IT, and vendors. You add value by your experience and knowledge within our area. You have strong communication skills, are creative, entrepreneurial, empathetic, and you know how to work together with different disciplines. You have coordination and planning skills and are not afraid to challenge the status quo.

  • You operate on a WO or HBO level – with focus on IT, with an IT background.
  • You have at least 4 years of work experience in managing multiple applications, including full responsibility for lifecycle management, preferably within Financial Services.
  • Fluent in English (fluency in Dutch is a plus).
  • You are capable of coaching and helping colleagues on behavior as well as content.
  • You love to solve incidents and make sure they don't happen again.
  • You keep cool in stressful times.
  • You are solution-oriented and strive to get the best results.
  • You have knowledge of the most recent ITIL framework, ASL, and/or BiSL.
  • You are experienced in working in Agile/Scrum teams.
