Role Overview

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing network planning to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation solutions for our interregional transport across Europe. This includes aligning with weekly forecast expectations, understanding transport and depot agreements, and fostering collaboration between offices, depots, and transporters.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement operational plans based on forecasts and stock levels to ensure on-time deliveries.
  2. Monitor market trends, provide insights into cost-saving alternatives, and identify new lanes and agreements to optimize our transport network.
  3. Establish transporter relations in our logistics system, verify the completion of agreed transports, follow up on Transport KPIs, and report to the Forecasting and Demand planner and our procurement department.

Requirements
  1. A higher professional education (HBO/Bachelor) level of work and thinking in Logistics.
  2. A minimum of 2 years of working experience in a related environment, preferably in international freight forwarding or supply chain management.
  3. Proficient IT skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  4. Proficiency in English, spoken and written, with an additional language beneficial (Dutch, German, Spanish, or French).
