We are seeking a highly skilled Computational Biologist to join our team at the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) at HKU. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply the latest analytics tools to multi-omics data, evaluate and establish analysis pipelines, and engage in collaborative efforts with scientists to provide expert informatics solutions.
About the Role
- Apply advanced analytics techniques to large-scale omics data
- Develop and optimize analysis pipelines for genomics and transcriptomics data
- Collaborate with scientists to design and implement bioinformatics solutions
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Biological Sciences, or related disciplines
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience in data analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, or related languages
- Experience in single-cell multi-omics or analyzing genomics datasets is advantageous
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
