We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Control/Software engineer to join our R&D team at VMI Group. As an R&D Intern, you will be responsible for developing a calculation tool for torque in our extrusion technology department.
About the Department
The R&D Extrusion, Cutters and Flexx department is responsible for the development of flexible machines for the tire building industry. Our team consists of Mechanical Engineers, Software Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Process Engineers, and a Technical Writer. We work together with different R&D departments on projects in cross-functional teams.
What You Will Do
You will develop a tool to calculate the torque of the screw in our extruders, both free drive and in combination with rubber. You will also test the tool on different types of extruders and at various speeds, temperatures, and compounds.
What We Offer
You will have the opportunity to learn within a cozy team for 6 months. Your research will be of added value to the organization. You will receive a compensation for this internship and compensation for travel costs. Other benefits include a laptop, software, and access to our workshop for software tests on existing types of extruders.
Requirements
You must have a bachelor or master in Control/Software engineering. In consultation with the department, this can be a graduation study.
Language
English is the primary language used in this role.

Duration
This internship will last for 6 months.
Compensation
You will receive a compensation for this internship and compensation for travel costs.
