Unlock the Power of Data Science

As a Data Analyst Intern at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS, you will play a crucial role in supporting the End to End Consumer Customer Insights team. Your primary responsibility will be to work on a personal research project that impacts the world of coffee and tea. This project will be confirmed within the first month of placement based on current R&D challenges and your personal development options.

Key Activities:

  • Support in designing experiments for various teams, including product development, packaging, and technology solutions.
  • Engage in statistical challenges brought by researchers in R&D to the Modelling and Statistics team.
  • Create impactful data visualization to support hypotheses in R&D projects.
  • Work with multiple data sources and combine them to perform modelling and data analysis, and detect opportunities for automation.

Qualifications:

  • Academic Program: You are enrolled in a BSc or MSc program for the entirety of the internship, preferably in Statistics, Data Science, or Food Science or Technology with a background in statistics.
  • Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English.
  • Personal traits: You have a structured approach, a driven and energetic personality, excellent communication and people skills, and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
  • Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship.
  • Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week, including three days in-office and one or two days remotely.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
  • Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS and when joining our Research departments, also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
  • You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a Non-EU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
