Datacenter Inventory and Asset Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Datacenter Inventory and Asset Technician to join our team at Microsoft. As a key member of our Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) group, you will play a critical role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services.
Responsibilities- Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
- Develop a working knowledge of stock control and inventory management practices, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
- Perform cycle audits and data corrections to ensure all inventory controls are met, maintaining a strong customer focus.
- Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging, under the supervision of more experienced Data Center colleagues.
- Comply with all security and data management policies, embodying our values of respect, integrity, and accountability.
- High School Diploma and a few months of experience in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Significant years of experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment.
