About the Role:

This complex and challenging role as a Tax Accountant at Mammoet offers the opportunity to engage with diverse financial operations on a global scale, while honing your expertise and making a significant impact within a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review monthly/quarterly Effective Tax Rate (ETR) reporting and related tax accounting entries for Mammoet Group companies worldwide.
  • Provide training and constructive feedback on tax matters as needed.
  • Prepare ETR slides for inclusion in monthly/quarterly financial reports.
  • Answer tax-related questions from the Executive Board of Mammoet (EBM) and SHV representatives.
  • Oversee tax (hard) closes twice a year, reviewing tax reporting packages and discussing issues with regional management and local finance colleagues.
  • Act decisively and use persuasive skills to guide colleagues on tax processes.
  • Prepare reports with main findings for our EBM, SHV, and auditor.
  • Collaborate with a Tax Manager on the Dutch corporate income tax return for a fiscal unity of 30+ companies, eventually becoming the main responsible person for this process.
  • Train regional and local financial controllers on tax accounting (IFRS).
  • Foster strong cooperation between finance and tax departments.

Requirements:

  • A master's degree in Tax, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant associated study.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Tax Accounting or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of general income tax concepts and extensive expertise in tax accounting and reporting.
  • Enjoys working in a team and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with finance and tax teams at all levels.
  • Ability to act decisively and persuasively in complex situations.
  • Proficiency in IFRS and experience with international tax regulations is a plus.
