Accounting Professional

At IDEXX, we're seeking an Accounting Professional to join our team. As an Accounting Professional, you will be part of a dynamic environment where you will be exposed to a broad accounting scope, learning about General Ledger accounting, Bank Accounting & Reconciliations, and Fixed Assets Accounting.

In this role

You will work with SAP ERP accounting system, following US GAAP in practice as well as some local GAAP for 34 different entities. You will ensure IDEXX adheres to VAT and INTRASTAT regulations. Together with peers in the team, auditors, and other finance departments, you will ensure the general ledger is correct.

What You Will Need to Succeed

We are looking for a Business Management student with a Finance or Accounting focus, with a love for numbers, good communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

  • Fluency in English is a key requirement.
  • Being assertive, taking initiative, and being able to work independently are essential.
  • Being organized and good with Excel is a must.
  • You possess a professional attitude, have attention to detail, and are eager to learn.

Some Practical Aspects

  • You need to be enrolled as a student towards the attaining of a degree to be eligible for this internship and to secure university approval to start the assignment.
  • You are available to start in January or February 2025 and can work with us for 5-6 months full-time (40 hours a week).
  • Our office is located in Hoofddorp, next to the train station (25 minutes from Amsterdam by train). This is a hybrid position that will enable you to both work from home and in the office in alignment with your manager.
