Pre-delivery Inspector (PDI) Job Description

In this critical role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the quality and condition of machines arriving in and departing from the Netherlands and other European markets. As a PDI Technician, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and reporting on pre-delivery inspections for new arrivals, stocked equipment, and outbound shipments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct thorough pre-delivery inspections for new inbound machines, stored machines, and outbound shipments, including exterior and interior damage inspections, component and accessory reviews, handling damage claims, software, and language adjustments.
  2. Create detailed reports and identify trends for issues discovered during the pre-delivery inspection process.
  3. Conduct root-cause analysis and collaborate extensively with quality, production, and engineering departments to address issues found during PDI.
  4. Install customer options in accordance with company specifications and assist in the development of new options.
  5. Assist in the loading and unloading of containers, as well as support the company's field engineers when needed.
  6. Maintain accurate records of new machines arrivals and machines that have completed the PDI process to prepare them for delivery.
  7. Take corrective actions for on-hold machines and ensure they are ready for delivery on time.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in the Heavy Machinery Industry, specifically with knowledge of the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) process.
  2. Good working knowledge/experience of aerial work platforms/mobile elevating work platforms is preferred.
  3. Team-oriented and a confident communicator.
  4. Have a friendly, can-do attitude.
  5. Good attention to detail.
