Job Description

Job Title: Food and Beverage Waiter

Hilton Amsterdam is a 5-star property that offers an exceptional guest experience. We are seeking a skilled Food and Beverage Waiter to join our team.

Main Tasks:

  • Deliver outstanding guest service with a focus on meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Work with a sales-oriented attitude to promote in-house sales
  • Anticipate guests' needs and ensure a consistent standard of service
  • Guarantee a cost-conscious manner of working and maintain all service standards
  • Active promotion of in-house sales by optimal knowledge of all services and outlets
  • Usage of cash system, booking, and posting of all transactions
  • Full knowledge of regular menus, promotional menus, wine lists, and any other promotion
  • Knowledge of last trends in drinks and preparation techniques
  • Compliance with hotel security, fire regulations, and health and safety legislations

Requirements:

  • Organized, pro-active, and involved Food and Beverage enthusiast
  • Committed to delivering high levels of guest service
  • Act with integrity and honesty to support the culture, values, and mission of Hilton
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch speaking skills preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience in a waiter role
  • Good knowledge of spirits, cocktails, and wines
  • Availability for early and late shifts during the week and weekend
