About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Global Asset Engineering team at APM Terminals. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in providing input and assistance to the deployment of civil and marine infrastructure for new or existing terminals/ports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop feasibility studies and master plans for terminal infrastructure projects.
  • Translate commercial and operational requirements into Employer's Requirements.
  • Evaluate technical proposals/design to achieve fit-for-purpose marine and civil facilities.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Employer's Requirements (SER) for contracting infrastructure assets.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in marine and civil environments, with exposure to container terminal design ideal.
  • Broad and deep range of experiences within complex and diverse projects across different regions and sectors.
  • Experience working on projects in different countries, understanding the challenges and requirements of working across borders.
  • Good general understanding of port equipment and their interfaces with the infrastructure.
  • Strong experience in the design and analysis of various civil engineering systems, including structural, geotechnical, transportation, and environmental engineering.

  • Excellent analytical skills and detail-orientation.
  • Collaboration and communication skills in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Ability to define a concept and translate it into specific design/plan/requirements and estimate budgets.
  • Customer orientation - ability to comprehend local specifications.
  • Driven, self-motivating, result-oriented.
  • High discipline - following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation.
  • High quality awareness and ability to work with constant care.
  • Sensitive to cultural diversity and experience in a multicultural environment.
  • Safety orientation.
  • Verbal and written English on business level is a must.
