The Product Development Team

The product development team in men's wovens at Tommy Hilfiger collaborates with design, merchandising, and manufacturing teams to bring high-quality woven garments from concept to market.

They oversee material sourcing, sample development, and production coordination ensuring products meet brand standards and timelines.

This team ensures seamless communication and quality control throughout the development process delivering stylish and durable woven garments.

Your Role

You will be coordinating the product development process from sketch until final product in stores.

You will develop produce control and achieve products based on established divisional standards and goals.

  1. Report into Senior Manager Product Development
  2. End-to-end product development including sourcing development sampling and price negotiation from concept through to bulk delivery
  3. Take the lead in handling daily issues in end-to-end product development
  4. Loading updating and maintaining of PLM systems within category ensuring data integrity
  5. Cross-functional partnership to ensure correct product is delivered in accordance with design merchandising technical and quality requirements
  6. Product Management Launching tracking and ordering of all prototypes and salesman samples in accordance with calendar and vendor requirements
  7. Adhere to the calendar both internally and externally to support the development and production of the collection achieving on-time delivery and consistent high quality
  8. Vendor collaboration in conjunction with Senior Manager including allocation cost and lead time negotiations sample and bulk ordering management and delivery
  9. Fitting collaborations working with fit technicians during fit meetings capturing comments and changes administrating these tasks and communicating them internally and externally
  10. Fit meeting preparation and organization measuring checking and giving workmanship comments on samples
  11. Internal lab dip management
  12. Maintaining production comments color or style additions updating systems and communicating these changes internally and externally
  13. Supporting margin targets including transparency and reviewing all costs at all stages of the development and production
  14. Risk management collaboration highlighting reviewing and assisting to resolve issues
  15. Meeting preparations arranging best sellers range plans sales overviews
  16. Proactively improving the product in ways of quality pricing and fit
  17. Work closely with design team buying team merchandise and fit technicians

The Ideal Candidate

  • A bachelor's degree in textiles or a related field
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in development sourcing and production preferably in wovens
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good communication skills in English as it is the working language of the business
  • Excellent time management and very strong organizational skills
  • A confident team player
  • Ability to change and adjust to new systems and set-ups previous knowledge in PLM or Excel is an advantage
  • The ability to effectively collaborate with various teams and efficient problem-solving skills
