Project OverviewThe project aims to combine the development of non-orthogonal configuration interaction and quantum Monte Carlo methods for an accurate and chemically interpretable description of excited states. The resulting methods will be applied to potential upconversion materials.
Your Profile- Master's degree in chemistry or physics with a specialization in theoretical chemistry/physics or related fields;
- Strong interest in method and software development;
- Programming experience in Fortran or C/C++ is a plus;
- Excellent English writing and presentation skills.
- Full-time position for four years with a qualifier and assessment in the first year;
- Salary and benefits in accordance with the collective labour agreement for Dutch universities;
- Training program as part of the Twente Graduate School or Graduate School of Science and Engineering;
- Free access to sports facilities on campus.
