About the Role

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer at VDL ETG Technology & Development, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technological innovations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. Your primary responsibility will be to specify and create technically consistent system designs, taking into account the functional requirements of our customers, as well as cost and time limitations.

In close collaboration with your colleagues from other disciplines, you will define system specifications and limitations in architecture, technology, functions, and modules. You will be responsible for documenting and maintaining this process, as well as conducting trade-off studies to determine the realization of one or two modules. Additionally, you will be responsible for knowledge transfer and contributing to the development of the Mechanics competency group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Graduated from a technical university with a specialization in mechatronics or mechanics
  • At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
  • At least 10 years of work experience as chief constructor/system architect
  • Capable of leading a team and working well in collaboration with customers and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English
