Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Services Engineer to join our team at Sound United. As a Technical Services Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and services to our customers, managing customer relationships, and ensuring service quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide field and remote support for our products and solutions, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Manage customer relationships and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.
  • Initiate repair or replacement of failed or defective products.
  • Perform periodic functional verification, upgrades, and unscheduled service calls as needed.
  • Provide technical support to our sales team during pre-sales activities.
  • Assist customers in proper use of our products and solutions.
  • Identify potential customer training issues and propose solutions.
  • Follow up to ensure closure of product and training issues.
  • Convey information from the field regarding product suggestions, improvements, and enhancements to our product marketing team.
  • Implement service sales strategies.
  • Monitor technical support processes and procedures, and initiate changes to optimize them.
Requirements
  • Direct technical experience and ability to communicate with all areas of the healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of the hospital environment and key personnel within medical care areas.
  • Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong results orientation, positive attitude, and sense of urgency.
  • Flexibility in reacting to new situations and adaptability for working in a new environment.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to work on a rotating after-hours on-call schedule.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strengths in organization and working individually and within team environments.
  • Field experience in implementing and troubleshooting medical equipment into the hospital environment.
  • Ability to lift at least 20kg.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Three years of related experience in the medical and hospital industry.
  • Intermediate skills in TCP/IP protocol in an Enterprise environment.
  • Intermediate skills in routing and switching technology and concepts and network systems troubleshooting skills.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Windows, VMware, and Linux operating systems.
  • Call center experience with a global service provider of manufactured products.
  • Prior experience in the Biomedical and/or Field Service.
  • Experience in Medical devices industry preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industry.
Language Skills

Fluent in English.

Education

A Bachelor's of Science in engineering or biomedical degree is required, or equivalent related clinical or technical experience in lieu of a BS degree.
