About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Werkvoorbereider Civil to join our team at Damen Shipyards. As a Werkvoorbereider Civil, you will be responsible for the entire work preparation of one or more projects, acting as the link between the office and on-site execution teams. You will support the project manager, who is responsible for the project, in their tasks and ensure that the project is executed according to plan.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement: Select and evaluate suppliers, request quotes, negotiate contracts, and manage the procurement process in our ERP system (IFS). Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Planning: Develop and manage project plans, including contract planning, and ensure timely communication with the project team and stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Assist in the development of project-specific quality plans, risk management plans, and work plans. Collaborate with the project manager and site manager to ensure project success.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks in collaboration with the project manager and team.
  • Document Management: Create and maintain project documentation, including project and work maps, and ensure that all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • General Support: Provide support to the project manager in various aspects, including project execution, planning, and coordination. Ensure that the project is executed according to plan and that any issues are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • A completed civil engineering or construction management degree with a minimum of MBO/HBO work and thinking level.
  • Significant experience in a similar role, preferably in diverse projects involving civil engineering, construction management, and installation knowledge.
  • Experience in international projects is an advantage, as occasional travel to project locations may be required.
  • Excellent team player with a strong sense of responsibility and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
