Principal Piping Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Piping Engineer to join our team at Oceanco. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of piping systems across various projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and coordinators to ensure timely delivery of piping documentation and designs.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule, coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective progress monitoring.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities, owners, designers, and subcontractors, providing guidance on standards and working methods.
  • Collaborate with partners to identify and realize synergies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the entire process.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate subordinate engineers to achieve project goals and objectives.

Requirements:
  • Higher vocational education or secondary vocational education with relevant work experience in the piping discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the maritime industry and/or yacht building industry.
  • Proven technical expertise, with a comprehensive understanding of piping systems and their applications.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, AutoCad, and/or Rhinoceros.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
