About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at Topic Software Development. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying subsystems, modules, and components for our high-tech systems.

Our team works on edge to cloud solutions, from PCB design and FPGA to low-level embedded software and application software for UI, Web, Mobile, and cloud. We are known for our high level of knowledge and expertise and are proud to be a Premier Adaptive Computing Partner of AMD.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement software interfaces for communication and data transfer between software components
  • Implement algorithms and develop drivers for our high-tech systems
  • Maintain and debug existing software solutions
  • Participate in meetings and share your thoughts and ideas to help move the project forward
  • Sparring partner for peers and stakeholders inside and outside the team
  • Code review and guidance of junior engineers
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Physics, and/or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in software development for the high-tech domain on platforms like Linux and Windows
  • Expertise in Python and C++ programming, preferably along with proficiency in lower-level languages such as C and/or Matlab
  • Familiarity with methodologies and techniques including O.O., UML, Design Patterns, Agile, and TDD
  • Excellent oral and written command of the English language; knowledge of Dutch considered a bonus
