Architectural Professor

We are seeking a distinguished Architectural Professor to join our Department of Architecture at the University of Hong Kong.

The appointee will be expected to teach architectural design studios, lecture courses and/or seminars, supervise postgraduate students and conduct research. They will also provide academic leadership, enrich and enhance the Department's international standing through excellence in their teaching, research, and/or practice-based expertise.

The successful candidate should be able to position their work in relation to the region's broad scale and breadth of case studies, which offer an exciting array of innovative design- and research-related possibilities. The Department's research laboratory structure presents additional opportunities to work across disciplinary and expertise-specific boundaries to develop collaborative research projects and other potential forums for exchange.

• Teach architectural design studios, lecture courses and/or seminars

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. In addition, annual leave and medical benefits will be provided. Salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. A University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary, will also be made. Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.

The appointee should have internationally recognised standing in the discipline of architecture, and a demonstrated record of research and teaching excellence in Architectural Design and/or published scholarship in architectural history and theory.
