Nixxes Software, a Dutch company specializing in video game design, development, and porting, has joined forces with PlayStation Studios to deliver high-quality gameplay experiences for PlayStation fans. Our Utrecht-based team is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and pushing the boundaries of what's possible in gaming.

Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Graphics Programmer to join our team in Utrecht, Netherlands. As a key member of our graphics programming team, you'll be responsible for implementing high-level graphical effects and low-level enhancements to our graphics engines. Your expertise will help us create immersive and engaging gaming experiences that exceed our fans' expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and write well-structured, readable, and maintainable code
  • Collaborate with our team to deliver high-quality results
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest graphics and lighting techniques
  • Debug and solve complex development problems

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a programmer in the games industry or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of current APIs such as DirectX 11/12 and OpenGL 4.x and Vulkan
  • Profound understanding of state-of-the-art graphics and lighting techniques
  • Solid background in mathematics
  • Fluency in C++ and other applicable programming languages
  • Strong understanding of optimization techniques
  • Ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English
  • Must live in the Netherlands (this is not a remote role)
