Job Summary

As a Senior Maritime Engineer at DEME Group, you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects. You will collaborate with colleagues of different nationalities and disciplines, and you will be working in our HQ or Breda offices. Your responsibilities will include developing method statements for our works before we execute them offshore, reviewing and checking Orcaflex work from the engineering department, and detailed engineering reports and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop method statements for offshore projects
  • Review and check Orcaflex work from the engineering department
  • Implement method statements in practice and take the lead when necessary
  • Ensure objectives are met on time and on budget
  • Provide logistics support to our vessels

Requirements

  • Qualified civil or industrial engineer, preferably in construction or electro-mechanics
  • Keen interest or knowledge in marine, hydraulic engineering, and/or subsea cables
  • Strong budgeting, calculation, and execution skills for civil works
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to travel on rotation or flexible to work from our HQ in Belgium
  • Fluent spoken and written English
