The RoleWe are seeking a driven Finance Manager to join our team and contribute to our mission. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, including daily management of all financial and administrative affairs, financial planning and control, modeling, budgeting, internal control, and reporting.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in both Dutch GAAP and US GAAP and be knowledgeable in IFRS. They will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with both Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with both Dutch GAAP, US GAAP, and IFRS
- Conduct financial analysis considering both Dutch and US GAAP principles, as well as IFRS, identifying trends, deviations, and potential areas of concern or improvement
- Provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management, considering the impact under both accounting frameworks
- Manage all accounting operations for multiple and international entities, including newly to be established local entities globally, looking after billing, AR, and AP, tax filings, bank reconciliation, and other compliance matters
- Manage intercompany consolidation and balance sheet reconciliation
- Manage intercompany transactions, executing on internal transfer pricing models
- Develop and maintain robust internal control framework to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Coordinate with auditors to facilitate annual audits, addressing any audit findings and ensuring compliance
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Manage internal budgeting and procurement approval workflows
- Support monthly VAT and other tax filings
- Help with further development/implementation of MS Dynamics 365 Finance & Operation functionality and modules
- Book general accrual and journal entries, including payroll
- Prepare cash flow statements and projections
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business administration, or a related field
- CPA preferred
- 5-7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience preferably in a start-up/scale-up
- Experience in Operations/Manufacturing/Hardware companies is a plus
- Knowledgeable in IFRS, including financial reporting requirements in NL, huge plus if you are knowledgeable financial reporting requirements in US/Canada
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of both Dutch and US GAAP standards and their practical application
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
- Experience using MS Dynamics
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience in team management and demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience designing and implementing finance processes from scratch
- Hands-on approach, with an ability to balance effective day-to-day delivery with project execution
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes hectic environment, where no day is the same
