At Anthony Veder, we are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Fleet department as an Engine Cadet. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the maritime industry and eager to gain practical experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of ship engines, machinery, and equipment
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior engineers
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills

Requirements:

  • Valid Engine Cadet Certificate or equivalent qualification
  • Basic understanding of marine engineering principles
  • Proficiency in English language (both written and spoken)
  • Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions
  • Good physical fitness and ability to work in challenging conditions
  • Willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing schedules
  • Valid seafarer medical certificate
