Field Service Engineer Contract The Netherlands

Packaging Solutions company, renowned for its comprehensive suite of packaging solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs of businesses worldwide, has a 12-24 month contract position available for a Field Service Technician/Engineer. The company develops and builds high-quality packaging machines for the food industry. In this position, you will work approximately 80% on-site at customers located all over the world. A Diploma/Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering, coupled with at least 6 years experience working as technician in fine machining, preferably within packaging/food production industries required. You are also required to have knowledge of PLC programming technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assembling, testing and commissioning our machines on site at customer sites
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance at customers all over the world
  • Training of local operators

Requirements:

  • Younger than 28 years
  • A completed education on EQF 4 or EQF 5 level in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or mechatronics
  • Knowledge of PLC programming technology
  • A good command of both the Dutch and English and/or German language
  • Ability to speak Afrikaans will be an advantage (Dutch Language and relevant training courses to be provided)
  • A VCA diploma or willingness to obtain one
  • Minimum 6 years experience in assembly, testing and commissioning machinery (maintenance)
  • Experience within Food production/Packaging industry will be an advantage
