Are you ready to embark on a career journey that combines data analysis, business acumen, and strategic thinking? As an IT Business Analyst at Medtronic, you will collaborate with our business partners to identify data & analytics solutions that drive business growth and innovation.

The Role

As a key member of our Advanced Analytics group, you will facilitate workshops with internal customers to gather their information needs, then connect with technical teams to design and implement data-driven solutions. Your expertise in data mining and modeling techniques, such as regression, clustering, and classification, will be essential in driving business insights and recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Consult with senior business leaders to translate business goals into data & analytics use cases
  • Proactively identify and drive new use cases and data-driven product innovations
  • Participate in projects related to advanced analytics, including deep dives to identify business needs and requirements
  • Support the team with analytical and technical skills, as well as strong communication skills and a positive can-do mindset
  • Engage with IT technical teams and IT cross-functional teams to identify the best solution direction
  • Collaborate with our IT security and privacy department on data privacy and data compliance requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Data Science or Analytics
  • An academic education in a relevant field (e.g. computer science, operations research, information management)
  • Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management abilities, including the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in data mining and modeling techniques such as regression, clustering, classification, NLP
  • Extensive experience in gathering, documenting, and challenging business requirements
  • Able to explain technical concepts in clear words to non-technical stakeholders
  • Good presentation and (data) visualization skills
