About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer - Precision Mechanics to join our team at ACE development & engineering. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the specification and design of modules and/or functionality to achieve the required performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and validate new concepts to meet customer requirements.
  • Apply state-of-the-art methods and construction principles to create accurate designs that can be realized from a technical and supply chain perspective.
  • Investigate complex mechanical problems through calculations, tests, and data analysis.
  • Optimize designs in collaboration with a team of engineers.
  • Contribute to the qualification of designs by specifying tests, designing test equipment, and providing technical product documentation.
Requirements
  • A mechanical engineering Master or PhD with a preference for specialization in precision engineering, precise positioning, and adjustments or mechatronics (with a mechanical background).
  • More than 8 years of experience in precision mechanics, with 2-3 years of experience directing and coaching constructors in a small team.
  • Solid theoretical and experimental experience in precision engineering.
  • Relevant experience in the design of (opto)mechanical systems.
  • Knowledge of dynamic and static behavior in structures.
  • Knowledge of thermomechanics.
  • Good theoretical knowledge and experience in the application of construction principles and accurate positioning principles.
  • Well-developed analytical skills, the ability to design concepts, and a pragmatic attitude.
