Job Title: System Signalling Engineer

Alstom is seeking a skilled System Signalling Engineer to join our team in Utrecht, Netherlands. As a System Signalling Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing signalling systems for our railway projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop signalling systems for railway projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system specifications, architecture, and interface documents.
  • Participate in system design reviews and ensure that all design decisions are traceable and supported by calculations or simulations.
  • Work with the engineering team to convert system designs into hardware and software designs, and ensure that all deliverables are on-time and meet quality standards.
  • Support the Verification and Validation team in identifying and resolving non-conformities, and participate in root cause analysis.
Requirements:
  • Strong background in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing signalling systems for railway projects, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluency in English, with proficiency in Dutch or French a plus.
