Solar Energy Research Group Leader

As a highly skilled research manager, you'll lead our Solar Energy research group in developing innovative solutions to integrate solar energy into our living environment and power grid. With a team of around 40 professionals, you'll work on impactful R&D projects, creating a pleasant and motivating working environment where everyone can thrive. You'll help shape strategy, guide propositions, and inspire your colleagues to deliver high-quality results. In this role, you'll collaborate with the management team of the Energy Supply division and work closely with industry and academia to ensure our innovations meet societal needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Solar Energy research group and develop a vision for the team's strategic direction
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the group and with other teams
  • Ensure the high-tech infrastructure is efficient and projects are well-monitored
  • Motivate your team with genuine interest in their work and personal development
  • Contribute to the development of the Energy Supply division's goals and strategy

Requirements

  • Background in the natural sciences or a related field
  • Experience leading teams and fostering cooperation in a complex, high-tech R&D environment
  • Good command of English and preferably also Dutch (or the motivation to learn Dutch quickly)
