Underwriting Coordinator

About the Role:

The Assistant Underwriter will play a key part in the growth and development of the Underwriting department at MS Amlin Marine NV. The focus of this role is to support underwriters in their day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth processing of insurance applications and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document and process received quotations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Document and process policies into the Underwriting systems, maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends or patterns in insurance applications and claims, including policy settings.
• Support in compliance queries on an individual risk level, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Administrate technical pricing on an individual risk level, applying knowledge of insurance products and risk assessment.
• Support in data accuracy in underwriting systems and policy documentation, maintaining high standards of quality control.
• Ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulations, upholding the company's reputation for excellence.

Requirements:

• Ideal candidate will be diploma/HBO educated, with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of insurance principles.
• Proficiency in both Dutch and English languages is preferred, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
• Previous experience in the industry is advantageous, but not essential. What is crucial is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and develop within the company.
